Problem

jornada (Spanish for "work/business day") leaks into code, labels, and issue text as an untranslated term — e.g. the maturity badge INITIAL (0/14 jornadas) in get_sample_maturity_info, and the data-veracity issues (#31/#32/#36). CONTEXT.md's canonical term is already "business cycle" (CONTEXT.md:77), so the codebase is inconsistent with its own glossary.

Required change

  • Adopt "business cycle" as the single canonical English term everywhere code- and doc-facing (variables, log lines, admin labels, KPI copy, docs).
  • Move any Spanish presentation (jornada / jornadas) into the es i18n layer (app/static/js/i18n.js), so display text is localised, not hardcoded.
  • Reword the maturity badge and any "N/14 jornadas" strings through i18n; English renders "N/14 business cycles", Spanish "N/14 jornadas".

Acceptance criteria

  • No hardcoded jornada/jornadas in code-facing identifiers or English UI copy.
  • es i18n keys carry the Spanish display strings; en carries "business cycle".
  • Maturity badge and calibration copy localised through i18n.
  • CONTEXT.md cross-references jornada as the es display term for "business cycle".

Surfaced during the grilling session on #31/#32/#36.

## Problem `jornada` (Spanish for "work/business day") leaks into code, labels, and issue text as an untranslated term — e.g. the maturity badge `INITIAL (0/14 jornadas)` in `get_sample_maturity_info`, and the data-veracity issues (#31/#32/#36). CONTEXT.md's canonical term is already **"business cycle"** (CONTEXT.md:77), so the codebase is inconsistent with its own glossary. ## Required change - Adopt **"business cycle"** as the single canonical English term everywhere code- and doc-facing (variables, log lines, admin labels, KPI copy, docs). - Move any Spanish presentation (`jornada` / `jornadas`) into the **`es` i18n layer** (`app/static/js/i18n.js`), so display text is localised, not hardcoded. - Reword the maturity badge and any "N/14 jornadas" strings through i18n; English renders "N/14 business cycles", Spanish "N/14 jornadas". ## Acceptance criteria - [ ] No hardcoded `jornada`/`jornadas` in code-facing identifiers or English UI copy. - [ ] `es` i18n keys carry the Spanish display strings; `en` carries "business cycle". - [ ] Maturity badge and calibration copy localised through i18n. - [ ] `CONTEXT.md` cross-references `jornada` as the `es` display term for "business cycle".
