Idea

When statistics compare two periods (month over month, year over year), say when they hold different numbers of Holidays or Event Days, for example: "2 holidays this period vs 0 in the comparison period". Show the counts only, with no normalization.

Context

Decided while triaging #202 (2026-10-02):

  • Holidays are expected traffic and stay in period totals.
  • Comparisons can then differ partly because of the calendar: a March with Carnival against a March without it.
  • Annotating the counts is honest and cheap, and lets readers, including investors, judge for themselves.
  • Normalizing would mean modelling holiday impact and was rejected for now.

Outside the historical backfill milestone.

To settle

  • Which comparisons get it: period KPIs, the investor deck, CSV export.
  • Are Event Days counted separately from Holidays?
  • Is it shown always, or only when the counts differ?
  • Wording in EN and ES.
