Remove the JavaFX desktop frontend and all associated files. The frontend is being rebuilt from scratch with a different technology stack.

Removed

  • frontend/ directory (12 source files, 16 test files, i18n, pom.xml, README)
  • Root pom.xml: <module>frontend</module> and <javafx.version>
  • .github/workflows/ci.yml: frontend version check, UI deps install, xvfb-run
  • .github/workflows/release.yml: frontend JAR build/upload step
  • .forgejo/workflows/release.yml: frontend JAR build step
  • release-please-config.json: frontend/pom.xml extra-file
  • scripts/release.sh: frontend version bump
  • README.md: frontend run instructions
  • docs/STYLE-GUIDE.md: JavaFX-specific (deleted)
  • DEMO-GUIDE.md: frontend-specific walkthrough (deleted)
  • docs/MIGRATION-NOTES.md, docs/LOCAL-RUN-AND-PACKAGING.md, docs/TESTING.md: frontend references cleaned
  • copilot-instructions.md, test_mcp.js, setup-server.sh: frontend references removed
  • staged_diff.patch, staged_diff_raw.patch, pom.xml.versionsBackup: deleted

Verified

  • mvn -q -DskipTests compile — compiles cleanly
  • mvn -pl backend test — 212/212 tests passing

- Delete frontend/ directory (source, tests, i18n, pom.xml, README)
- Remove frontend module from root pom.xml
- Remove javafx.version property from root pom.xml
- Remove frontend version check from .github/workflows/ci.yml
- Remove frontend JAR build/upload from .github/workflows/release.yml
- Remove frontend JAR build from .forgejo/workflows/release.yml
- Remove frontend/pom.xml from release-please-config.json extra-files
- Remove frontend references from scripts/release.sh
- Remove frontend references from README.md, docs/, setup-server.sh
- Remove DEMO-GUIDE.md (frontend-specific), STYLE-GUIDE.md (JavaFX)
- Remove staged_diff patch files and pom.xml.versionsBackup
- Update copilot-instructions.md and test_mcp.js
